Melbert was born to the late Henry and Tillie (nee: Eggemeyer) Kueker on April 2, 1924 at Walsh, Illinois
Melbert married Selma Eggemeyer on December 5, 1942 at Perryville, MO, who preceded him in death on February 25, 2007.
Melbert was a retired Operating Engineer and had been a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and former member of the Men's Brotherhood, Walsh, IL, V.F.W. Post #3553, Chester, IL, American Legion #480, Steeleville, IL, D.A.V., Murphysboro, IL and Operating Engineers Local #520, Granite City, IL. He was a W.W. #2, Marine Corp Veteran.
Survivors: 4 Children Alvin (Mary) Kueker St.; Phyllis (Ron) Wood Red Bud, IL; Donna (Mike) Magers Chester, IL; Bonnie Kueker Chester, IL; 2 Brothers Archie (Alice) Kueker Walsh, IL; Raymond (Dorothy) Kueker Mascoutah, IL; 14 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren
Preceded in death by: Parents, Wife - Selma, 1 Brother - Ervin Kueker and 1 Sister - Adeline Bierman
Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, Walsh, Illinois
Officiating: Rev. Harold Weber.
Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Walsh, Illinois.
Visitation was on Friday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, in Chester, Illinois. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh, Illinois.
