Frederick W. Albers
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Frederick W. Albers, 66, of Tamaroa, passed away at 7:11 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital at Pinckneyville.
Fred had worked as a gob truck driver at Freeman Orient #6 Coal Mine. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin. He was also a member of UMW of A and was a longtime country music musician.
He was born Feb. 26, 1944 at Moline, Ill., the son of Harold and Maxine L. (Brock) Albers.
He is survived by four children - Amy Cashion of Du Quoin, Christopher Albers of Du Quoin, Amanda Lee of Pinckneyville and Tiffany Albers of Tamaroa, six grandchildren - Jared, Cassandra, Linzee, Dalton, Kassity and Delaynie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 at the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville with Rev. Rich Luh officiating.
Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the cemetery.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.
Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
