Bonnie A. Jones

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Bonnie A. Jones, 60, a resident of rural Simpson, Ill. and a former resident of Effingham, Ill. and a native of Dowell, Ill., passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2, 2010, at 4:35 p.m. at her home near Simpson, Ill.

Bonnie was born Aug. 12, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. She was the daughter of Clarence McMillan and Maribel (Graham) McMillan.

Bonnie was united in marriage to Jimmy A. Jones at Effingham, Illinois. He survives.

Other survivors include two daughters - Kim Thomas of Watson, Ill. and Kristine Soltwedel of Effingham, Ill.; a son - Kent Thomas of Nashville, Tenn.; four stepdaughters - Andrea, Jennifer, Heather and Erica; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and four brothers - Samuel Edwards of West Frankfort, Ill., Richard Edwards of Marion, Ill., Robert McMillan of Du Quoin, Ill. and Marty McMillan of Dowell, Ill.

In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by a brother - David McMillan and a sister - Carrie McMillan.

Bonnie worked along with her husband Jimmy in a house siding business. She had also been employed in the accounting department of Wal-Mart in Effingham, Ill.

Bonnie was of the Baptist faith. she enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles, as well as fishing and hunting.

A graveside service was conducted Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 5, 2010, at 3:30 p.m. at Kerley Cemetery in the Flatwoods community.

Friends called from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bailey Funeral Home in Vienna.
