Virginia Capps Hall

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia Capps Hall, longtime Arizona resident, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2010, surrounded by her family.

She was born on Dec. 27, 1912 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. to Paul and Bernice Capps. On Oct. 31, 1936, she married Charles W. Hall Jr.

Their five children soon followed: Alice Hall Bayer, Charles Wesley Hall III, Susan Hall, Nancy Hall Chase and Allen Capps Hall.

Her husband, Charles, attended the University of Arizona as a young man and longed to return to the state that he had loved. So, in 1959, Charles and Virginia moved the family from Du Quoin, Ill. to Scottsdale, Ariz.

Virginia&#39;s focus was always on her family. In addition to her children, she is survived by eight grandchilden, Emily and Ellen Bayer, Lindsay Hall and Lauren (Cale) Hall Miller, Jane (Chris) Chase Jennewine, Susan (Mike) Chase Koerner and Charlie and Andy Hall. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Chase, Alyssa, Brad and Caroline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, owner of Hall Chevrolet in Du Quoin, and her sister, Marcella Sibler of Louisville, Kentucky.

She was a positive role model to all who knew her. She was a wonderful hostess, cook and friend- always generous and benevolent. We will forever be reminded of her beautiful smile, grace and dignity.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests any memorials be sent in her name to the Valley Presbyterian Church Foundation, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Socttsdale, AZ 85253 or the Charles W. Hall Jr. nd Virginia C. H all Memorial Endowment, Univeristy of Arizona Saver Heart Center, P.O. Box 245040, Tucson, AZ 85274-5046.

Memorial services were held in the Kilgore Chapel at Valley Presbyterian Church on Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m.

Private interment will be held in Mt. Vernon, Ill. at a later date.
