Carl Dean Huite

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Carl Dean "Sarge" Huite, 80, of West Frankfort, very peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 1:50 a.m. at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Ill.

He was born October 18, 1929 in Du Quoin to George and Mary Macke Huite.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He had retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant.

Mr. Huite is survived by his wife Mildred Dotson Huite of West Frankfort; four daughters, Donna (Cliff) Kellam of West Frankfort, Jackie (D.A.) Minor of West Frankfort, Carla (Ronnie) Watson of West Frankfort and Patty (Jerome) Kopec of Sesser; one son, Richard (Tonya) Huite of Moultrie, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two on the way; sisters, Elsie (Richard) Bishop of Du Quoin, Mary Ellen (Joe) Summers of Du Quoin and Ruby (Kenny) Stacy of Du Quoin; brothers, Chuck (Wanda) Huite of Du Quoin and Richard (Nellie) Huite of Belleville and a sister-in-law, Janet Huite of West Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Brittney Huite, great-grandchildren, Brianna, Rheagon and Dekota; a sister, Pat Triesanbach and brothers, George and Donald Huite.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort with Dr. Brett Beasley officiating.

Visitation was Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the African Orphanage and will be accepted at the funeral home.
