</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[John R. Roche, 56, of Chester, IL, died June 22, 2010 at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

The son of Robert and Opal (Chappell) Roche, he was born September 14, 1953 in Chester, IL.

John had worked as a Truck Driver for Gilster Mary-Lee Corp, Link Trucking Services, and several other area trucking companies for the last 23 years. He was a member of the Chester Eagles and American Legion Post #487 in Chester.

Survivors include his mother of Chester, IL; one son, Johnny Roche of Clayton, MO; four step-children-Nick (Chris) Jausel of Chester, IL, Brian (Becky) Jausel of Nashville, IL, Sheri (Ronnie) Howell of Jefferson City, MO, Thomas (Sylvia) Jausel of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters-Carol (Dennis) Poenitske and Paula Presswood Roche, both of Chester, IL; and one brother, Robert L. Roche of Chester, IL. He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, 2010, at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL, with Rev. Mike Fogerson officiating. Burial was in the New Palestine Cemetery, Walsh, IL.
