Troy V. Wilson, 78

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Troy V. Wilson, 78, of Chester, IL, died May 21, 2010, at St. Ann's Healthcare Center in Chester after a long illness.

The son of John and Anna (Pierce) Wilson, he was born September 17, 1931 at Riley Lake, IL. He had six brothers and three sisters, and they all preceded him in death.

He married Kazuko Motsui and had three children from that relationship. He later married Judy Rendleman in 1966, and they had one child. Judy passed away in 1982.

Troy entered the Army and received Honorable Discharge after his tour of duty in Korea. He received training as a bricklayer and earned his livelihood as a Master Mason. Mr. Wilson was proud that he helped build many structures in the area which are still standing. Troy was also a member of the Shriners (1989). He helped sponsor several children to the Shriners' Hospital for Children.

Survivors include his three children-Jerry Wilson, Gina Wilson, and Kathern W. McCarroll; a very special friend and companion of 25 years, Elsie Turner; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Elsie's five children-Tammy Turner, Tracy Nordmeyer, Melanie Morber, Roy Turner, and Keith Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy; and one child, Rickey Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery through the Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home. Pallbearers at his service were as follows: grandson, Wade Wilson; grandson, Thomas Poenitske; grandson, Travis Aaron; friend, Roy Turner; friend, Sonny Reinhardt; and friend, Richard Huey, with alternate, Michael Lochhead.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Shriners.
