Mildred M. Mabus
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mildred M. Mabus, 94, of Sesser, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at her home.
Mrs. Mabus was a homemaker. She was born Sept. 24, 1915 in Sesser to Francis Marion and Myrtle Grace (Batts) Cockrum. She married Novel E. Mabus on Oct. 3, 1940 and he preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her children, David and Sandra Mabus of Washington, Ill.; grandchildren, Diane and David Tellor of Morton, Ill. and Don Mabus of Peoria, Ill.; great-grandchildren- Shane Mabus and Samantha Mabus of Peoria and Kyle Tellor and Kaitlyn Tellor of Morton; brothers and sisters, Raymond and Virginia Cockrum of Lovington, Ill. and two sisters-In-law, Della Brooks and Virginia Mabus.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 2, 2001; two brothers, brothers Denzel and Marion Cockrum; four sisters-in-law and her parents.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, June 9 at 11 a.m. at Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Rev. Had Ray Lewis officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemeter in Sesser.
Visitation was Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
