Albert F. Ratajczyk

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Albert F. Ratajczyk, 66, of Tamaroa, passed away at 12:07 a.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Good Samaritan RHC at Mt. Vernon.

Albert had been a self-employed saw mill operator. He was of the Catholic faith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.

He was born May 11, 1944 at Scheller, Ill., the son of Edward and Theresa (Marshalek) Ratajczyk.

He married Linda Maxine Woodside on July 9, 1966 at Tamaroa, Ill. and she preceded him in death on January 12, 2009.

He is survived by one daughter - Margaret Lee of Tamaroa, one son - James Ratajczyk and wife Michelle of Tamaroa, five grandchildren - Bethany Lee, Chelsea Lee, Joshua Ratajczyk, Justin Ratajczyk, and Robin Ratajczyk, all of Tamaroa, one brother - Greg Ratajczyk of Scheller, and two sisters - Eileen Knapp of Du Quoin and Betty Decker of Tamaroa.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Rob Mathis officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Military graveside rites were conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion.
