Sherry Lynn Johnston

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sherry Lynn Johnston, age 59, of Savanna, Ill., formerly of Statesboro, Ga. and Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on May 30, 2010 in Mercy Medical Center, Clinton, Iowa.

Sherry was born on Jan. 8, 1951 in Du Quoin, Ill., a daughter to Floyd and Betty (Jones) Lipe. On May 11, 1987 she married John Johnston in Paducah, Ky. and he survives. Sherry was a property manager for Hallmark Property Inc. in Statesboro, Ga. Sherry loved spending time with her family and friends.

Sherry is survived by her husband; four children, Terri Legel of Mt. Carroll, Ill., Brandy (Mike Childres) Arnold of Savanna, Ill., Gary Arnold of Statesboro, Ga. and Amber Johnston of Savanna, Ill.; nine grandchildren and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services and interment were held at Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kirk Steele officiating. Family and friends were asked to meet at the cemetery.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday, June 3, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
