Lynn Gerrish

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lynn Gerrish, age 65 of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away suddenly on Dec. 30, 2009 at 3:31 a.m. in his home.

Lynn was born on Nov. 28, 1944 at Patoka, Ill., a son to Claude Webster and Blanche (Reeves) Gerrish. He married Mary Mathis and to this union was born two daughters. He later married Cathi Docie Walton. Lynn had worked as a barber since he was 20 years old and had owned Lynns Hairstyling for over 30 years. Lynn attended the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., was a member of the Du Quoin Elks Club, Pinckneyville Eagles, was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, loved the outdoors, and was an avid Panther and Cardinal fan.

Lynn is survived by his wife Cathi of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two daughters, Donna Lynn (Salvador) Gerrish de Toledo of Medellin, Columbia and Jami Beth (Patrick) Gerrish-Willis of Tifton, Ga.; two step-sons, Brook (Bridgot) Walton of Sullivan, Ill. and Chad (Katharine) Walton of Yorkville, Ill.; four brothers, Ronald (Mary) Gerrish of Pinckneyville, Ill., Allen (Marilyn) Gerrish of Centralia, Ill., Jack (Hazel) Gerrish of Hickory, N.C., and Jerry Gerrish of Casa Grande, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, Jaco Toledo, Jonathan Toledo, Owen Willis, Anna Willis, Zoe Walton, Henry Walton, Caroline Walton and Eli Walton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Donna Lee Gerrish.

Funeral services were held at First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Barnett officiating. Interment was in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at the First United Methodist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be made to P.C.H.S. Education Foundation, Inc. or St. Bruno Catholic School.
