Mary Madora Schultz

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Mary Madora Schultz, age 81, of Tamaroa, Ill. went home to be with the Lord 7:54 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Mary was born July 14, 1928 in Du Quoin, Illinois, the daughter of Horace and Mary (Hall) Morrow. She married Fred O. Schultz Jr. on April 16, 1949 in Pickett, Arkansas and he survives in Tamaroa.

Mary attended Southern Illinois University and taught school for several years in Ashley and Tamaroa. She later worked for the Illinois Department of Human Services from which she retired in 1991. She loved to cook, socialize, collect antiques and had a quick wit and beautiful smile that would light up the room. She played the piano in several churches in southern Illinois. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Tamaroa where she played the piano.

She will be sadly missed by husband Fred; great nephew Tony and wife Becky Morrow; her beloved cats Tiger, Meow Meow and Sammy; and many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville with Rev. Greg Alvis officiating. Music was provided by family friend Mr. Donnie Sumners. Interment followed at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin. Friends called on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m at Newell Funeral Home in Waltonville.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Joe Morrow.
