Keith Lynn Gibbs

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Keith Lynn Gibbs, 51, of Carbondale, formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:35 p.m., Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at his residence.

Keith had worked for the Kroger Company for 35 years. He had been store manager at the Kroger Store in West Frankfort and was presently the store manager at the Kroger Store in Anna.

He was a Member of the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin. He loved to fish and enjoyed his trips to Alaska fishing.

He was born March 31, 1958 at Sparta, Ill. the son of Ben and Serena K. (Wilmouth) Gibbs.

He is survived by his parents Ben and Serena Gibbs of Du Quoin, brother- Benjie R. Gibbs and wife June of Du Quoin, sister- Kellie Swayne and husband Andy of Du Quoin, nephews and nieces- Philip Gibbs, Jason Gibbs, Holly Gibbs, Caleb Swayne, Benjamin Swayne, Spenser Swayne and Madison Swayne, aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Dutch Ridge Cemetery at Carbondale.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Du Quoin Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
