Sylvester Pete Waligorski

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sylvester Pete Waligorski, 86, of Tamaroa, passed away at 10:20 p.m., Monday, Oct. 12, 2009 at the Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Pete had worked as a cutter at Country Set and Bridal Originals. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Tamaroa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He loved dancing and playing bingo.

He was born March 21, 1923 at Tamaroa, Ill., the son of William and Martha (Mammal) Waligorski.

He is survived by two daughters - Diane Kravec-Hellard and husband Jim of Las Vegas, Nev., and Barbara Waligorski of O'Fallon, Mo., three grandchildren - Callie Franssen of Las Vegas, Nev., Sally Kravec and James Kravec, both of St. Louis, Mo., five great grandchildren - Tommy, Diane, Chloe, Rylee, and Seth.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at Tamaroa with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Rosary was prayed at 6:00 p.m., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa.

Military graveside rites were conducted.

Friends may make memorials to the Kidney Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
