Funeral services were held Monday, October 5, 2009, at 11 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, Sparta, IL with Rev. Scott Henley officiating. Burial was in the Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Sparta or to the Randolph County Care Center.
