</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia M. Davis, 86, of Ruma, IL, formerly of Chester, IL, died September 10, 2009, at the R & R Country Care, Ruma, IL.

The daughter of William Jacob and Elizabeth Mackenzie (Gerlach) Dahlem, she was born May 10, 1923 in New Athens, IL.

Virginia was a homemaker and of the Protestant faith. She was a member of the Eastern Star #738, Steeleville, IL.

Survivors include two sons-David (Moni) Roth of N. Little Rock, AR and Richard Roth of Chester, IL; two daughters-Deborah (Sherman) Hoffman of O'Fallon, MO and Virginia Liefer of Red Bud, IL; two brothers-William Dahlem of Sparta, IL and Donald Lee Dahlem of Ballwin, MO; one sister, Carol June Baue of Webster Grove, MO; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 step great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands-Ernest Roth & Christian Presswod; and one grandson, Andrew Michael Liefer.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 14, 2009 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL with Rev. Mark Willig officiating. Burial was in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Chester.
