M. Alma Metheny

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mrs. M. Alma Metheny, 90, of Robinson, passed away at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, Ill., following a period of declining health.

Mrs. Metheny was a member of Hutsonville Christian Church, a homemaker and a retired cook at Lincoln Grade School Unit #2 in Robinson. She was born Nov. 10, 1918 in Hutsonville, Ill. to Everett and Alta Mae (Gaddis) Matheney. She married Jesse J. Metheny on Nov. 10, 1939 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1994.

Surviving are one son, James LeRoy (Lois) Metheny of Lancaster, Calif.; one daughter, Lorna June (Terry) McClanahan of Elkville, Ill.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse J. Metheny; brother, Christopher Matheney; sisters, Hazel Gossett, Imo Jeanne Hightshoe, Zona Murphy, Eunice Prevo, Nola Matheney, Geneva Peterson and Irene Woolworth.

Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12 at Hutsonville Cemetery in Hutsonville, Ill. with Bro. Bill Wilkinson officiating.

Friends were able to call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Pulliam Funeral Home in Robinson, Ill.
