George Huhman
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[George "Bill" Huhman, age 75 of Pinckneyville, Ill. passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2009 at 6:25 a.m. in Washington County Hospital, Nashville, Ill.
George was born on June 30, 1934 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to Hugo and Agnes (Hagler) Huhman. On July 13, 1963, he married Mariana Collins in St. Peter's Cathedral Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill. George proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War as a radio operator. He was a graduate of Indiana Institute of Technology earning a degree in civil engineering and worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation for 37 years as a civil engineer. George was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and enjoyed being active in his parish. He loved to golf, gardening, Cardinal Baseball, St. Louis Rams Football and loved watching sports on T.V.
George is survived by his wife: Mariana Huhman of Pinckneyville, Ill., two sons: David William (Kori) Huhman of Belleville, Ill. and Steven Scott (Elizabeth) Huhman of Marion, Ill., one brother: Paul (Sylvia) Huhman of Palm Beach, Fla., one sister: Barbara (Donald) LeVesque of Stratham, N.H., seven grandchildren: Billy, Sarah, Robert, John Paul, Mary, Claire and Camryn and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved companion: Studley Do Right.
Funeral services were held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Stan Konieczny and Father Andrew Knopik officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends were able to call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The rosary was recited at 12:00 p.m.
