Charles Michael Napier

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Charles Michael "Mike" Napier, 64, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:27 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Mike had worked for thirty years as an auto worker for Chrysler at Fenton, Mo. He was a member of the Sunfield Baptist Church at Sunfield. He was a member of UAW Local 136.

He was born Sept. 15, 1944 at E. St. Louis, Ill., the son of William and Wilma (Cook) Napier.

He married Patricia J. Waeckerle on Jan. 4, 1964 at Cahokia, Ill. and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one son - Mark Charles Napier of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Jeffrey Napier of Orlando, Fla. and Meagan Napier of Richwoods, Mo., one brother - Ron Napier of St. Charles, Mo., five brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son - Kyle W. Napier, one brother - Gary Napier and one sister - Linda Gippierch.

Friends were able to call from 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Per Mike's request, cremation followed the visitation.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society or donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
