Irene Wolters, 90

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Irene Wolters, 90, of Chester, IL, died August 2, 2009 at her residence.

The daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Rieckenberg) Eggemeyer, she was born September 26, 1918 in Blair, IL.

On February 4, 1939, she married Albert C. Wolters in Perryville, MO, and he preceded her in death in 1975.

She had worked at the International Shoe Company in Chester and also Jiffy Printers in Chester for 15 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester, American Legion Auxiliary in Chester, V.F.W. Auxiliary in Chester, and L.W.M.L. at St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Janice Zang of Chester, IL; one brother, Herbert (Clara) Eggemeyer of Chester, IL; one sister, Ruby Adams of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons-Chris (Lynn) Zang and Mike Zang; and one great-granddaughter, Alysha Zang. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers-Sylva, Orville, and Clyde Eggemeyer; and three sisters-Fern Spearing, Myrtle Fleming, and Jessie Ohlau.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, IL, with Rev. Mark Willig officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester.

Memorials may be made to the St. John Radio Fund or the Kidney Foundation at Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
