Shelley R. House

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Shelley R. House, 59, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:05 a.m., Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Barnes-Jewish Extended Care in St. Louis.

Shelley was a homemaker and had worked as a school bus driver for eighteen years. She was a member of the Elkville Christian Church and Preceptor Alpha Eta Sorority.

She was born February 24, 1950 at Du Quoin, the daughter of Edward and Alberta (Cook) Phillips.

She married Karl W. "Butch" House on July 22, 1972 at Elkville, and he preceded her in death on September 3, 1998.

She is survived by one son - Tighe J. House of Du Quoin, her mother - Alberta Phillips of Du Quoin, one brother - David Cook of Anna, cousins - Pat Napier and husband Mike, and Mark Napier, all of Du Quoin, aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father and husband.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Ron Kreid officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Preceptor Alpha Eta Sorority and will be accepted at the funeral home.
