Ruth G. Wright

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Ruth G. Wright, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:45 a.m., Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Mar-Ka Nursing Home in Mascoutah.

Ruth was a homemaker. She had worked at P.R. Mallory, Rectors, Freidman's, and Blue Bell Packing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin. Ruth had earned a 25 year service pin from Fair Acres Nursing Home.

She was born January 1, 1916 at Du Quoin, the daughter of Irl and Celia A. (Wheeler) Eaton.

She married James Arthur Wright on October 7, 1936 at Herrin, and he preceded her in death on January 3, 1946.

She is survived by one daughter - Janet Miller and husband Al of Belleville, one grandson - Lt. Co. Michael Andrew Miller of Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, Texas, one granddaughter - Melinda Beth Koss-Brennan of Mascoutah, seven great grandchildren - Sean Andrew Koss, Taylor Nichole Koss, Paige Elizabeth Brennan and Heather Lynn Brennan, all of Mascoutah, Bridget Lynn Miller, Reese Michelle Miller, and Katherine Elizabeth Miller, all of Abilene, Texas, one brother - Merwin H. Eaton and wife Marilyn of Thompsonville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters - Wanda Lows, Helen Taylor, and Ann Wright, and one brother - Wilson Irl Eaton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Jim Endsley officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Association or the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
