James M. Luckey

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ James M. Luckey, 61, of San Marcos, California, formerly of Mattoon, died Tuesday (June 16, 2009).

A private service was held.

He was born April 6, 1948, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of the late Tracy and Ruth Luckey.

He graduated from Mattoon High School in 1966. He received an Accounting Degree and a Masters in Business Administration from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, a Masters in Taxation from DePaul University in Chicago, a Law Degree (J.D.) from Western State University and a Master of Law (L.L.M.) in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law.

Jim and his family were Du Quoin residents and Jim was a partner with the CPA firm in Du Quoin, Luckey & Emling, from 1980 - 1985. The family moved to California where Jim completed law school. Mr. Luckey was an Attorney/CPA and Managing Director with Thomson Reuters, Carlsbad Office. He was preceded in death by his son, Jay Douglas Luckey on March 31, 2001.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanie M. Luckey of San Marcos, California, and son, Craig Robert Luckey of Pinehurst, North Carolina.
