Georgia E. Fiantaco

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Georgia E. Fiantaco, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Oak Grove Rehab and Care Center in Carbondale.

Georgia was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin. She had worked as a sales clerk for many years at Illinois Brokerage, PN Hirsch, Friedmans, and Hills. She was a member of the clerks union.

She was born November 2, 1918 at Du Quoin, the daughter of George and Rachel (Bailey) Eaton.

She married Peter C. Fiantaco on July 3, 1964 at West Frankfort, and he preceded her in death on March 23, 2009.

She is survived by one daughter - Ellen Lay and husband Bob of Marion, one granddaughter - Donna Lay of Marion, one great grandson - Evan Lay of Marion, and one sister - Catherine Ward of Sunfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister - Dorothy Owsianny and two brothers - Joseph Eaton and James Eaton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Michael Ebersohl officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
