Rose Marian Harriss

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Rose Marian Harriss, age 76, of Carbondale, IL, formerly of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2009, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL.

Rose was born in Pinckneyville, IL, on November 13, 1932, a daughter to Lawrence Avra and Beulah Edna (Thornton) Harriss. She was raised Baptist and was a secretary for Champion Paper in Chicago and Clark-Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. Rose enjoyed crafts, knitting, and sewing.

She is survived by one brother: Donald K. (Pat Merrier) Harriss of Duluth, MN, one sister: Nancy (Gayle) Sanders of Surprise, AZ, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL, on Friday, May 29, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating.

Friends may call on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
