</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Catherine J. Brown, age 92, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 4:35 p.m. in Pinckneyville Healthcare, Pinckneyville, IL.

Catherine was born on October 21, 1916 in Tamaroa, IL, a daughter to Frank and Lottie (Stowers) Marlow. She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and lived and worked in St. Louis, MO for over forty-five years. She then returned to Southern Illinois and lived in Pinckneyville for the past 30 years.

Survivors include her brother: Harold Rice of DuQuoin, IL, sister: Ola Mae (Jack) VanHoorebeke of O'Fallon, IL, two step-sisters: Ernestine Lammle of Champaign, IL and Frances Davis of Kansas City, MO, numerous nieces and nephews, and a very loving caregivers: Connie and Virgil Wall of Pinckneyville, IL.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Karl Marlow and Robert Marlow, two sisters: Opal Siebert and Marietta Willis, and a step-sister: Miriam Lemons.

Graveside services will be held in the Tamaroa Cemetery, Tamaroa, IL on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chuck Keene of Shipman, IL officiating. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Pinckneyville Healthcare Center Activity Fund or to the donor's choice.
