Edna M. Szczeblewski
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Edna M. Szczeblewski, 85, of Tamaroa, passed away at 8 a.m., Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Washington County Hospital Extended Care in Nashville.
Edna was a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa.
She was born April 29, 1924 at Sunfield, the daughter of Harry and Maggie (Clark) Cowley.
She married Raymond "Ray" Szczeblewski in August of 1940 at Cape Girardeau, Mo., and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2002.
She is survived by two daughters - Delores Waligorski and husband Larry of Pinckneyville and Mary Ellen Bird and husband Orange of Pinckneyville, two sons - Ronald Szczeblewski and Roger Szczeblewski, both of Tamaroa, one sister - Opal Chelberg of California, eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers - George Cowley, Harry Cowley, and Raymond Cowley, and three sisters - Gladys Rice, Lillian Willis, and Dorothy Shockley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu officiating.
Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary will be prayed at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to Masses or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery at Tamaroa.
