</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Aaron M. Greer, age 91, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 12:15 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, IL.

Aaron was born on March 6, 1918 in DuQuoin, IL, a son to Elmer and Aurora (Stanton) Greer. On June 30, 1937, he married Ruby Lenore Wright in DuQuoin, IL and she preceded him in death on April 17, 2000. Aaron was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL and was the owner and operator of Greer Auto Body in Pinckneyville, IL for many years. He loved music and was a talented craftsman who made string instruments.

He is survived by one son: Wayne (Nancy) Greer of Pinckneyville, IL, one daughter: Betty Jean Lawrence of Eastford, CT, five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers: Everett, William and Russell and one sister: Beulah D'Alessandro.

Funeral services will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, IL on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.
