Dolores Susanna Cecile Bryant

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Dolores Susanna Cecile Bryant, 93, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:43 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

Dolores had worked as head bookkeeper at the Du Quoin State Bank. She was of the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at church. Her family had moved to Du Quoin when she was two years old.

She was born August 29, 1915 at St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of William A. and Mathilde (Segelken) Barrett.

She married William M. Bryant on May 9, 1936 at Du Quoin, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1946. She never remarried.

She is survived by one son - William E. Bryant and wife Billie J. (Booker) of Stafford, Va., one granddaughter - Julianne M. (Bryant) Sullivan of Denver, Colo., one grandson - William Michael Bryant and wife Krisa (Burnaugh) of Maryville, Tenn., great granddaughters - Delilah Sullivan of Denver, Colo., and Caitlin, Isabel and Ava Bryant of Maryville, Tenn., and two brothers - Joseph Edward Barrett of Illinois and Walton (Cotton) Barrett of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, and one brother.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin with Rev. Mark Buetow officiating.

Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
