Betty Jean (Hemmer) Graff

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Betty Jean (Hemmer) Graff, age 66, of Carterville died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:18AM at Parkway Manor in Marion.

She was born on January 18, 1943 in DuQuoin, IL to William Oscar and Mary Lydia (Wendling) Hemmer. She married Frank H. Graff Jr. on April 8, 1967. He survives her.

She retired after 35 years of service as a secretary with SIU-C.

She is survived by her husband, Frank H. Graff Jr. of Carterville; 1 brother, Wilbur Hemmer of DuQuoin; 3 sisters, Marcella (Ralph) Hayes of Pinckneyville, Marie Mozi and Patricia (Stanley) Wheatly, all of DuQuoin; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Delbert and Edward Hemmer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Monday, March 9, 2009 at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home with Pastor David Hunt officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00PM, Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
