John Albert "Bud" Snider

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ John Albert "Bud" Snider, age 85, of Pinckneyville, IL, passed away on February 27, 2009 at 11:30 p.m. in Fairview Nursing Center, DuQuoin, IL.

Bud was born on May 22, 1923 in Pinckneyville, IL, a son to George A. and Myrtle M. (Brown) Snider. On December 3, 1961, he married Elsie Lorraine Goldman and she preceded him in death on August 23, 1993. He was a former member of the American Thresherman's Association and the Perry County Farm Bureau. Bud was a farmer, an avid bee keeper, tending many hives of bees, operated a saw mill and he, along with his wife, Elsie grew and sold apples for many years.

He is survived by his long time caretakers and farming partners: Carl Goldman and Kevin Goldman both of Pinckneyville, IL and many caring neighbors and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Rob Mathis officiating. Interment will be in Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
