Glenna Blanche Nehrkorn

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Glenna Blanche Nehrkorn, age 75, of Pinckneyville, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

Glenna was born March 27, 1933, in Pinckneyville, a daughter of Homer and Blanche (Keene) Hammack. She was united in marriage to Loyd Eugene (Gene) Nehrkorn on September 9, 1953, in Pinckneyville and he survives. Glenna was an avid gospel and country music fan and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, playing cards with her husband and friends, and collecting antiques. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Pinckneyville.

She is survived by: her husband Gene of Pinckneyville, one daughter: Jeanie Jenkel and husband Alan of Pinckneyville, two sons: Jeff Nehrkorn and wife Michelle of Tazewell, Va., and John Nehrkorn and wife Donita of Pinckneyville, one brother: Lowell Hammack of Clarksville, Tenn., five grandchildren: Justin Nehrkorn and wife Rindy of Marion, Jeremy Nehrkorn and Jordan Nehrkorn, both of Pinckneyville, Casey Nehrkorn of Elkville, and Caleb Nehrkorn of Tazewell, Va., three step grandchildren: Stefanie Moore, Andrew Moore and Zachary Buckman, all of Tazewell, Va. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives and great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Betty Zimmerman and Corabelle Lowery.

Funeral services will be held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at 11 a.m., with Bro. Sam Eddy officiating. Interment will be in the Galum Presbyterian Cemetery, Pinckneyville.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Thursday morning from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
