The son of Lowell E. and Betty (Stevenson) Shipley, she was born April 22, 1962 in Charleston, SC.

On October 22, 1981 he married Brenda Sauerhage.

Anthony worked at Construction Supply.

Survivors include his wife of Chester, IL; one son, Anthony Ray Shipley, Jr.; two daughters-Janice Drescher and Jessica Shipley, both of Chester, IL; two sisters-Betty Weckman of Caseyville, IL and Gladys Mayo of Scott City, MO; three brothers-Gene Shipley of Chester, IL, Tom Shipley of Centralia, IL, and Kenny Shipley of Jackson, MO; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one niece.

Mr. Shipley's wishes were to be cremated.
