</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ As a part of the Toys for Tots Drive 2008, the Marine Corps League Detachment 575 provided toys for 651 children in the local communities. Out of those 651 children, the Marine Corps were able to provide 34 new bicycles with the money collected and donated.

"We want to send out our thanks to all who participated, and even those who donated toys or money at any of our toy drives. Without your help we couldn't have done as much as we did," stated Marine Corps member Matt Grau.

Grau also stated that the way it is looking for next year, with the economy on the track it is, our number of children is going to rise. So look for the Marines of our community to be out in the coming months, raising money for local children and their families, to help provide them with a little happiness and joy throughout the coming year.
