Donald L. Dasher

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Donald L. Dasher, 74, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Willow Creek Rehab and Nursing Center in Belleville.

Donald had worked as a truck driver. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and Eagles Lodge.

He was born July 21, 1934 at Tamaroa, the son of Oscar and Beulah (Wrolen) Dasher.

He married Bonita Russell on May 28, 1964 at Rolla, Mo., and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2002.

He is survived by two sons - Donald Dasher, Jr. and wife Susan of Pinckneyville, and John Lee Dasher of Alabama, one daughter - Diane Lively of Tamaroa, one stepdaughter - Henrietta Melvin and husband Dennis of Du Quoin, one stepson - Randy Fisher of San Diego, Calif., one sister - Marie Miller of Du Quoin, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and six sisters.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 20, at the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin with Rev. Tom Spiller officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Old Du Quoin Cemetery.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
