Tilden Fire Protection District receives grant

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Tilden Fire Protection District has received a $94,905 Assistance to Firefighters grant through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The award will be used for vehicle acquisition. Costello co-sponsored the legislation that created the Assistance to Firefighters program.

"This award will enhance fire protection and emergency services in the area," said Costello. "We must maintain our focus on public safety, and I will continue to work to ensure that our first responders have the resources they need."
