Perry County Tax Bill Installment Deadline Nears

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Perry County Treasurer Bill Taylor said Tuesday that approximately 35 percent of the 2007 (payable 2008) real estate taxes have been collected. The total countywide tax liability is about $12 million.

He reminds taxpayers that the first of two installment deadlines is Friday. The second installment is due January 16, 2008.

Taxpayers can pay their real estate tax bills at any of the banks in Perry County, in person at his office in the Perry County Government Building on Rt. 13-127 south of Pinckneyville or at a convenient after-hours drop box on the parking lot of the government building.
