The Lady Panthers, 5-1, doubled-up Benton 46-23 Thursday night in East Gym, as nine different players scored.
Pinckneyville's now idle until next Tuesday's battle with Du Quoin.
"We'll look to get our legs back under us a little this weekend and I think we will come out ready to compete against Du Quoin," PCHS coach Alan Engelhardt said. "I thought we shared the ball pretty well tonight, but the shots just didn't always fall."
The Lady Panthers led 15-0 after one period and scored the game's first 21 points against Benton (0-7).
Emily Miller scored nine points with Becky Vanderjack adding eight more.
Taylor Cicardi and Mandi Kellerman each netted six.
"This is a tough-type game to play in after the emotional loss to Nashville the other night," Engelhardt concluded.
LADY FALCONS FALL
At Carterville, Elverado (1-4, 0-2) dropped a 48-17 decision against the talented Lady Lions.
Lindsey Qualls scored six points for EHS and Mallory Winthrop blocked a season-high seven shots.
DU QUOIN @ HARRISBURG
The Lady Indians (1-6) lost 52-32 against Harrisburg Thursday night.
