ALL-SIRR FOOTBALL
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Class 3A State runner-up Du Quoin filled 15 different positions on the River-to-River Conference's, All-Mississippi Division football team.
Released Friday, the squad included six unanimous picks from the division champ Indians. Du Quoin's Dalton Morgan was named receipient of the SIRR's Whitey Miller Award, which honors the Mississippi's top offensive and/or defensive lineman.
Selected unanimous first team All-SIRR offense from Du Quoin were A.J. Hill (QB), Luke Montgomery (G), David Rose (WR) and Jamor Reed (RB).
Morgan (TE), Garrett Hopkins (C) and Josh Cushman (T) also made the first team list. Seth Flint (WR) was tabbed an "at-large" first team choice.
On defense, Morgan (DE) and Seth Heape (DT) were tabbed unanimously with Matt Gossett (LB) completing Du Quoin's first team list.
Second team selections for the Tribe included David Gayton (RB) and Nick Baskin (K) on the offense. Flint (S), Marcus Clarry (DB), Colin Jones (LB), Cushman (DE) and Kyle Paxton (DT) were defensive choices.
Jonathon Kuberski of Pinckneyville earned unanimous first honors at defensive back.
Second team selections for the Panthers included Dustin Winter (WR), Matt Denton (OL), Dylan Hagene (LB), Thomas McConnell (LB) and Taylor Tabing (DT).
Players named unanimously to the first team by their respective conference's are automatic Southern Illinois Coaches Association (SICA) All-South honorees.
