</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Marie C. Wheeles, age 92, of Pinckneyville, IL passed away on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 9:40 p.m. in Red Bud Nursing Home, Red Bud, IL.

Marie was born on January 12, 1916 in Pinckneyville, IL, a daughter to Robert Adam and Margaret Anna (Kellerman) Eichholz. On October 21, 1939, she married Walter Renzo "Scott" Wheeles in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1984. She had worked as a garment worker in Pinckneyville, IL, St. Louis, MO, and Sparta, IL and was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, IL, the Daughters of Isabella, Swanwick Quilters Club and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include her brother: Robert Eichholz of Red Bud, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Casper and Phillip Eichholz, and seven sisters: Elizabeth Wisnewski, Agnes Eichholz, Anna Eichholz, Kathleen Hill, Gertrude Killingworth, Rose Bruns, and Loraine Porter.

Funeral services will be held in St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Brian Barker officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Swanwick, IL.

Friends may call at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, IL on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The rosary will be recited on Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
