CHS golfers compete at sectionals

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Jamie Springer placed 2nd in the IHSA Regional October 8th at Jackson County with a score of 96, earning her one position higher from last year's 3rd place finish at the same location. "It was good to see Jamie bring a strong finish to the season, even eagling the 18th hole." Coach De Leon commented. Jamie continued to put up good numbers in the October 13th IHSA Sectional, placing 12th overall but missed the cut for the State Tournament by eight strokes. Ron Baughman crossed his fingers, waiting for the announcement of advancing players from the October 9th IHSA Regional at Union County C.C after an amazing round of 89. Ron made the cut by one stroke and made a first-time appearance at the IHSA Sectional at Franklin County. Unfortunately, the competition was tight and Ron was unable to move on to the State Tournament, but enjoyed reaching one of his high school goals.
