DMS Baseball Warriors Romp to First Round Win at State

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Du Quoin (Middle School) ripped Waterloo 13-3 in six innings Saturday, advancing into the SIJHSAA Class L State Baseball semifinals.

DMS, 17-2, advances to face Highland at 2 p.m. in Thursday's semifinals. Waterloo, with an enrollment nearly quadruple of Du Quoin's, ended the fall at 22-4.

Winning pitcher Nate Boss scattered five hits and struck out six while also knocking in four runs at the plate to spark Du Quoin. Camden Youngman went 4-for-5 as DMS connected on 17 hits.
