Du Quoin Baseball Posts Another Win
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Du Quoin (Middle School) posted another convincing baseball victory Wednesday, smacking host Pinckneyville (Junior High School) 12-1 in five innings at the Perry County Fairgrounds.
DMS (6-0, 4-0 Junior Southwestern Egyptian Conference) is scheduled to visit Nashville (Middle School) Thursday.
The loss was only the second for PJHS.
"Nate Boss had a big day on the mound and at the plate today," Warriors coach Tim Craft said. "Overall, we had a better approach at the plate today than we have had the last few games."
Boss (3-0) pitched all five innings, giving three hits while striking out seven.
He also tripled, singled and knocked in four runs.
Shayne Baxter, Brenden Fred, Garrett Dorsey, Austin Mansker, Travis Chapman and John Erwin all contributed hits.
