Du Quoin Sophs Rock Bethalto

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Trent Bigham scored three rushing touchdowns and threw for a fourth score Saturday afternoon, lifting Du Quoin High School's sophomore football team to a dominating 35-7 win at Bethalto Civic Memorial.

The Tribe jayvees, who lost 26-0 against BCM last season, put things away with three second quarter touchdowns.

Bigham broke free for a 38-yard score at the nine minute mark of the half for a 6-0 lead then connected with James Williams less than three minutes later on a 36-yard touchdown pass.

Bigham ran for the two-point PAT to push the margin to 14-0.

A three-yard blast from Jerrell Holmes with under 20 seconds left before halftime added to lead.

Brandon George booted the PAT kick to put Du Quoin ahead 21-0.

Bigham finished the scoring with runs of four and 34 yards to finish the scoring as George added two more kicks.

BCM broke the shutout with under two minutes left to play.

Holmes ran for 106 yards and Bigham added 104 more. Bigham's three pass completions totalled 60 yards to Williams (two catches, 48 yards) and Chaz Bland (12 yards).

Kenny Kabat recovered two fumbles, recorded one quarterback sack and had 11 tackles to pace the defense.

Will Alstat added a fumble pick-up and seven tackles.

Du Quoin visits Harrisburg next Monday night.
