</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Rising stars Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington brought a great show to the Du Quoin State Fair grandstand Wednesday. Sawyer Brown performs in the grandstand tonight. Rock group POD performs on Friday and High School Musical star Corbin Bleu performs on Saturday. Although a relative newcomer in the profession, Kellie Pickler burst onto the scene with her "Small Town Girl" release two years ago and has since had several other hits that landed on the charts including "Red High Heels", "Santa Baby" and "I Wonder". Opening for Pickler was Bucky Covington, who has American Idol credits as well as having been closely connected to Sawyer Brown.

Country-rock legends Sawyer Brown and lead singer Mark Miller performed to a pair of encores on the Du Quoin State Fair grandstage Thursday. The band, which first found nationwide fame after its 1983 appearance on Star Search, played Du Quoin for the seventh time since 1986.

Vince Vance and Valiantettes perform "Itsy Bitsy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" in the free entertainment tent.

The Miller Spectacular Shows ferris wheel is back-dropped against the western sky at sunset.

Clear skies allowed the Du Quoin State Fair to have a huge fair-ending weekend. One of the headliners was "High School Musical" star Corbin Bleu.
