Du Quoin State Fair Parade Showers Watchers with Candy and Icy Pops

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ As the Du Quoin State Fair Parade rolled down Highway 51, entertainers and politicians both tossed candy and handed out icy pops to the watchers fighting off humidity and bugs.

However, for those standing on the west side of the highway wrestled with passing traffic to watch the parade and occasionallly had to dodge traffic to get candy.

To those that participated in the parade: the firemen, police, politicians, entertainers, bands, merchants and horseriders, I say, "Thank you."
