Richard Yankey, 54, of Chester, IL

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Richard Yankey, 54, of Chester, IL, died August 17, 2008.

The son of Norman D. and Wanda O. (Herring) Yankey, he was born June 29, 1954 in Red Bud, IL.

On June 19, 1971, he married Betty Goeddel.

Richard was a retired truck driver and of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his wife of Chester, IL; two daughters-Kim Welton and Laurie (David) Richardet, both of Chester, IL; step-mother, Pearl Yankey of Chester, IL; eight siblings-Deb Mehrer of Tennessee, Michael Baughman of Evansville, IL, Donna (Danny) Steele of Perryville, MO, Michael Yankey of Chester, IL, Jeff (Amy) Baughman and Angie McAdams of Perryville, MO, Krista McDermott of Korea (in Military), and Tara McDermott of Pinckneyville, MO; four grandchildren-Paige Johnson, Lukas Welton, Cortnie Richardet, and Dillan Richardet; special friend, Carol Moss; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Ellen Baughman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, IL with Rev. Phil Keeton officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening and Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
