Harris' Gem Lifts SB-T to Win Over Rival #204
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ St. Bruno/Tamaroa St. Bruno's rode the no-hit pitching of Kayla Harris to a season opening junior high girls softball victory Monday against host Pinckneyville (#204).
The Lady Indians posted an 8-1 victory as Harris struck out 14 batters while issuing just one walk. Harris allowed only a second inning, unearned run.
At the plate, SB-T was led by Bailey Nippe and Dani Schoenbacher.
Each had three hits with Schoenbacher doubling twice.
Harris and Breanna Zoeckler each contributed RBI.
SB-T led 4-1 entering the fifth inning before plating two runs in both the fifth and sixth, sealing away the victory.
Monday's game also served as the Quad County Athletic Conference (QCAC) opener for both squads.
