</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Thank You, Du Quoin--This was the scene outside Liberty Church in Du Quoin last Saturday as over 200 people waited in line to receive school supplies and clothes from the Du Quoin Ministerial Alliance. Volunteers from Liberty Church worked inside to make sure everything was in place before opening the doors around 9 a.m. Once inside, local families received school supplies, clothes and a new Bible from the Gideons. Free haircuts were also available for the kids. When it was over volunteers had distributed 200 backpacks filled with school supplies, hundreds of bags of clothes, and 240 bibles. In all, the day was a great success and helped a lot of people. The Ministerial Alliance expressed its deep appreciation to the over 50 individuals, business, churches and organizations who had donated around $5,500 to provide everything that was given away.
