Kenneth W. Roberts

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kenneth W. Roberts, 57, of Elkville, passed away at 11:45 p.m., Thursday, May 1, 2008 at his residence.

Kenneth had worked repairing small engines. He had worked at Turco Manufacturing for nineteen years, B & J True Value Hardware for twelve years, and Norman Freds Tri County for eight years. He was a member of the Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin.

He was born May 21, 1950 at Du Quoin, the son of Joseph B. and Dorothy L. (Rice) Roberts.

He married Sharon Rae Bourland on April 9, 1979 and she preceded him in death on September 13, 2006.

He is survived by two sons - Gregory Roberts and Phillip Roberts, both of Tamaroa, four sisters - Wilma Zettler and husband George of Du Quoin, Janet Davis and husband Samuel of Du Quoin, Alice Dorsey and husband Robert of Du Quoin, and Jo Ann Roberts of Reno, Nev., one brother - Marion David Roberts and wife Betty of Tamaroa, and special friend and caregiver - Sherry Scott of Elkville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter - Sheila Kay Roberts, three sisters - Opal Samples, Virginia Roberts, and Helen Roberts, four brothers - Billy Roberts, Bobby Roberts, Freddie Roberts, and James Roberts.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
